The position of Senior Structural Inspection and Rehabilitation Engineer - In short

The senior structural/infrastructural inspection and rehabilitation engineer will be responsible, among other things, for ensuring the quality of engineering services regarding projects associated with his field of expertise. In this function, the chosen candidate will need to act as a technical reference and project manager to define and carry out inspection and structural rehabilitation projects. This person will need to supervise technicians and designers during the preparation of plans and technical specifications.

Main responsibilities:
  • Performing structural or infrastructural inspections;
  • Developing, defining, and applying the appropriate rehabilitation techniques for each project;
  • Acting as a technical reference for inspections and structural rehabilitation techniques;
  • Building the team dedicated to the inspection and rehabilitation of structures;
  • Technical supervision of technicians and designers during the preparation of technical plans and specifications;
  • Managing the projects while ensuring the coordination required to do so;
  • Defining projects at client facilities and producing service proposals;
  • Preparing and monitoring project budgets and timelines;
  • Participating in the procurement process (calls for tender, bid analyses, purchases, follow-ups, etc.), as needed;
  • Technical assistance on site;
  • Contributing to the firm’s business development.
The job profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering;
  • 15 years of experience;
  • Available for occasional travel as part of the work;
  • Good communication skills and good team spirit;
  • Excellent management of priorities;
  • Leadership, autonomy, and initiative;
  • Organized and respectful of deadlines;
  • Team player;
  • Ability to work in a context with multi-site collaborators (virtual communications);
  • Good working method and time management;
  • English-French bilingualism;
  • Member in good standing with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
