The position of Electrical Engineer - In short

Groupe Alphard Alphard is looking for an electrical engineer for the Trois-Rivières office. The candidate must be eager to take on the most interesting and stimulating challenges and ready to travel to client sites in order to fulfill the different assigned mandates.

Main responsibilities:

• Participate in the drafting of plans and specifications in an industrial environment;
• Participate in the drafting of technical specifications for electrical equipment;
• Perform design calculations and select protective devices;
• Design low voltage electrical distributions for motor loads, heating cables, heating units, industrial lighting, various power supplies, and produce single-line diagrams;
• Prepare budgetary estimates and preliminary engineering reports;
• Develop cable and equipment lists;
• Perform surveys in an industrial environment and provide technical support on construction sites;
• Perform any tasks necessary in ensuring smooth project progress, quality of services, and deliverables;
• Interact with various stakeholders (contractors, manufacturers, clients, etc.) and coordinate electrical work with multidisciplinary teams.

The job profile:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering ;
• Member in good standing with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
• More than 4 years of experience in industrial electricity;
• Good knowledge of the Electrical Code;
• Resourceful and independent;
• Good adaptability and teamwork skills;
• Valid driver's license.

Assets :

• Consulting engineering experience;
• Bilingual (French - English);
• Health and safety certificate on construction sites (ASP card);
• Knowledge of EasyPower software or other software such as SKM, ETAP...
