Monitoring of groundwater quality of petrol storage stations

Vopak operates three petrol storage stations in Quebec (Quebec City, Montreal East, and Montreal). These stations are used for the transfer and storage of petrol and derivative products and are equipped with high capacity storage facilities.
The mandate awarded to Groupe Alphard comprised the regular monitoring of groundwater quality at each site. Dozens of sampling wells were monitoring across 3 sampling campaigns in autumn 2017 and spring, summer and autumn 2018.

- Micropurge sampling of ground water in conformity with the requirements of the Quebec Environment Ministry
- Recovery of purge waters
- Daily delivery of samples for laboratory analysis
- Interpretation of results of sample analysis in relation to relevant criteria for groundwater quality
- Preparation of reports presenting daily samples, ground water levels, and test results
- Preparation of reports to visualise the results of laboratory tests
- Preparation of a final report on the state of existing sampling wells
